Refund Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
In short: ask within 14 days of your first payment and you get it back in full. Later payments are not refunded, but you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Rights you have by law always apply.
1. Who handles refunds
Elephant Trunk is sold by Johannes Moll, an individual in Singapore. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Refunds are paid by Paddle to the card or account you paid with.
2. What we refund
We refund the first payment of a subscription in full if you ask within 14 days of paying it. You don't need to give a reason.
- Monthly plans: the first payment is the US$1 for the 7-day trial.
- Yearly plans: the first payment is the one for your first year.
- Not refunded: renewals and other later payments, including the first full month after the trial and charges for members or seats added during a period. You can cancel at any time instead (section 4).
A refund ends the subscription straight away. Before asking, export any files you want to keep (Settings → Export). After that, your files are kept for 30 days and then deleted, as the privacy policy describes.
3. How to ask
- At paddle.net: look up your order and choose "Request refund". Or use the link in your receipt email from Paddle.
- Or email us at support@elephanttrunk.ai from the address on your account. We answer every email within 12 hours and pass the request to Paddle.
Paddle sends approved refunds straight away. How quickly they show on your statement depends on your bank.
4. Cancelling instead
You can cancel at any time: in Settings, or with the link in any Paddle receipt. You are not charged again, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancel during the 7-day trial and the US$9 first month is never charged.
5. Your rights by law
Where the consumer law of your country gives you more rights, those rights apply, and Paddle handles them. Examples are the right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU and UK, and the right to cancel for consumers in Singapore. Nothing in this policy limits those rights. Paddle's refund policy and buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
6. Problems on our side
If the service fails or is unavailable for a long stretch and we cannot fix it, write to us. We will refund the affected period, whatever the date of the payment.
